Stretching it out..

Nice little evening run and my first step on the way to 20k. Was a really chilled run and felt like I could hold a nice chat even at 11k, bodes well for future runs :) It does seem quite crazy running to another town and back though and by the time I get to 20k that'd be a distance I would never have even really chosen to walk. Such a crazy thought..

Nicely done Pink! Yes I know what you mean. On Sat I am in a longer group run to a place I’ve only visited by car before. Very strange to be running there from the other side of the city. You are doing great and that is a hoppin pace!

great stuff pinko!

Thanks Flick. How you doing, still fighting those hills?

in reply to pinkaardvark

Yep. Also very fatigued. Not sure why. May be the longer runs or maybe stress and lack of sleep- or both ...

There's lot of viruses around. I have battled on and off colds and then periods where it doesn't feel too good to run. Don't beat on yourself. We build up such terrible expectations that there is no real reason for. Just take it as it comes. Your doing fantastic and less of the old please 😃

in reply to pinkaardvark

Every time I get tired like this, somebody mentions viruses. The fact is I AM older - my body seems to need time to adjust to the extra demands on it. couple of weeks and I will be fine again :)

I always think it’s like going on a journey or an expedition which makes it all the more exciting 😎

Well done! 😃💪👍🏃‍♂️

Yep, running to far flung places is brill I run to supermarkets etc that I previously thought were too far off. I literally run errands

I was in my husband’s car recently and pointed out a footpath off the main road that i’d found and run on. He said “ you run all the way out here?”

“Yep”, I replied. I felt dead intrepid 😁

It’s fun ! 😃
