Like many on here, I've had flu and was off work for a week. I went back this week and am coping with it, but definitely have the post-viral bleh/mehness going on.
I woke up this morning (my day off) feeling really demotivated to do anything at all. However, I decided I'd try a run - my first in 3 weeks due to an initial cold, then the snow, then the flu.
As soon as I put my running gear on I was feeling better and more purposeful.
I went out on one of my usual routes, enjoying seeing the daffodils out and lots of other sprouting greenery. The world has changed while I've been festering in bed!
I did 4.3k although there was a bit of walking in there when I got tired or when the path was too muddy to be safe to run on.
Got back, showered, found myself doing little housework chores that I've been putting off. Overall I feel great now, thanks to my run. I might even consider a Parkrun on Saturday - haven't done one of those for a while. I can always walk a bit.
Yay for running!
