Hi everyone I am on wk 4 of c25k at the moment so hope to graduate in approx 5 weeks time, but am enjoying running so much I would like to go that bit further. Here's hoping I stay injury free and I can get the right sort of encouragement from this group!

You're doing brilliantly and most of us understand the "chomping at the bit" thing. Once we discover the joy of running we just want to do it again and again!

But you probably know that running further takes time and you need to build up to it so keep to the programme, finish that and then consolidate for a little while to build your running legs. As you say you don't want to get injured so one step at a time and all that and you'll be doing what you want to do eventually but patience is the key here.

Hooray well done. You are welcome to join us for the 10k plan which is a rolling programme to get you to 10k, when you are ready.

Sounds like you’re going to be going on with your post Graduation. Good!

Take care though. Slow and steady, gently does it. 🙂👍

C25k+ Stepping Stones podcasts are the natural next step along with Ju-Ju’s 10 is The Magic Number programme. Sami Murphy Bridge to 10k podcasts are ace too

Plenty of free programmes there for you to get your teeth into. Just be sure to progress very carefully using the % rule Also cross training becomes more important as you start to make greater demands in your body. So swim, cycle, gym or home based strength training, walking more, dance or whatever 😃👍💪
