Anyone else fancy a virtual race on 8th March to commemorate International Women’s Day? I’ve signed up and will probably do 10K but you can do any distance as long as it’s 5k+...

I see you can do it any time between 8-16 March which is better for me as I'm away next week and I'm still recuperating a sprained ankle so yes I'll do it. Thanks for the heads-up 🙂

I'd not realised you could do it on a different day - that might work better for me too as Thursday is hill reps day at running club!

Thanks for this Gabby - I am going to sign up to this in memory of my "great great auntie"(!) Suffragette Sarah Carwin, who was an active member of the WSPU - see post and picture above.

Yes! Thank you, I'm in :) My latest race on 4th March has just been cancelled and this will be a replacement before I have to stop for a short while, so this will do nicely :)

Sorry to hear your race has been cancelled and you're having to stop for a bit but glad you've found an alternative!

Yes, thank you :) I probably won't do the 10 miles I should have done :O but I'll certainly do a 10k.

I might try now... seeing that you can do it up to the 16th.. still working back u after being in the IC... I could take 5K slowly :) Thanks Irishprincess , I knew I would not be ready by the 8th!

Thanks Gabby!

Thanks for sharing this Gabby! I'm only on WK5 but my last run/walk was nearly 4k so I reckon I'll be able to do 5k on my longer runs this week...some of it will be walked but I think that's still ok! A good introduction to hopefully bigger challenges in the future :-) Sarah x
