Negative splits?

Noticed earlier from looking at garmins data that I got a PB for 5k in my 10k run last night.

What is weird is that it is for the second 5k and not the first. Is this what you call negative splits?

Seems like I got to half way, dipped a bit in speed and then found a new gear. It felt like the last half a k was real slog as well as I got to my end mark and realised I had 0.4k still to do so had to run around a bit lol, like a chicken clearly.

That is what is known as negative splits and it is the way the pros almost always run.
