Hi everyone I am new here I graduated from 5k end of last year and recently decided to try to go up to 10K but within the first 10-15 minutes I started to have pain in my upper thigh around the TFL and hip flexor region . I had my gait assessed on Thursday as I thought it was to do with the way I run and I probate the best trainers for me are Brooks Adrenaline has anyone here got experience of these please as they are a Lot of money , I can get them cheaper online but want to make sure before I buy. Thankyou for reading

Just because someone has a great experience with a certain pair of shoes doesn't mean another person will. We are all different and have different needs from our shoes.

But in answer to your question I've had Brooks Adrenaline and loved them (I pronate slightly too). Yes they are expensive but surely a small price to pay for injury prevention and much cheaper than numerous trips to a physio!

Make sure you stretch lots 🙂

If the place you had your gait tested are knowledgeable and professional, and they think those are the best shoes for you, it's considering their advice. They may be expensive, but will last some time.

I’m with Irishprincess, what works for some may not work for others. That said I love my Brooks. But beware, there are different widths in the Adrenalin.....mine are a D fit......wide.

Thank you all . I tried 5 different types on and they were the most comfortable apart from saucony which didn’t have so much support the ASICS felt too rigid just like new shoes that needed breaking in . The ones I tried were a d fit and fitted perfectly so think I will go with those I Went to Runner’s need and they spent an hour with me to get the right shoe . Fingers crossed my leg feels better soon 🙂
