Hiya and welcome to a new week.

Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.

If youre a lurker it is a great place to say a little hi without the pressure of a full post.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy week,

Juju, Realfoodieclub, Oldfloss, Millsie-J and Jan-now-runs

Been gradually creeping up my distance but decided enough playing about.

Just signed up for Ju-Ju's 10K plan! Never would have done that in January!

Going to ease off the distance a bit this week in readiness!!

I've been absend for a while and just wanted to say hello again to everyone. I've kind of missed this forum so might be back to posting more regularly :)

I go running three times a week at a comfortable pace and distance (5 to 10k) but I think I want to become a little faster. I think I need the forum to do that :D

Getting into my Asics HM plan a bit more now.

Following a Dutch a runner on Strava at the moment who's been in Finland in preparation for a 24hr Endurance race 24-25 Feb at our local indoor arena -endurance.fi/e24/eng/

He ran 60k the other day as part if his "tapering" totally nuts on stilts! His target is 216km in 24hrs. Now that really is a bit bonkers isn't it? We are all sane by comparison!

Talking of (in)sanity, I signed up for the Strava February HM Challenge the other day (Top tip - don't go on Strava after a couple of glasses if wine). Toying with idea of going for a super slow jog (hr zone 2) in next couple of weeks and might carry on if I get past 15k and feel ok. Not going to pressure myself though, only if it feels right and all green lights flashing...

This running lark is getting serious all of a sudden!

Oops - Wrong forum. Should have posted to marathon forum.

Since completing Juju’s excellent 10k plan last month, I’m consolidating and slowly building my long run. 12km completed on Monday, and also improving my 5km time with some intervals. Plan to do a HM later in the year too 🙂

No running yet this week due to a "GI incident" (I believe is the polite term) on Sunday. Did a HIIT workout this evening instead. Maybe tomorrow I will venture out...

Not a great week. Needed a decent run today so put the new trail shoes on and headed off along the coast to the next village. It's posher than bungalow city, full of designer mongrels and off-road push chairs. (As opposed to Bungalow City's zimmer frames and electric scooters.) Anyway, there and back was a bit under 7 miles which was very therapeutic. Needed to push it a bit just to feel like I've done some exercise.

Well today I started ju ju’s plan for 10k this morning and I was a bit naughty and did a little further than the 2.5k I should have done. Where I live is so beautiful and it seemed such a shame not to keep going and enjoy the scenery at the same time.😀😀

So after hubby and I had been for a great walk with our labs Jack and Myfanwy (myfi) I left them at the garden gate and off I went again.

I decided to donn my running gear on before hand (good idea me thought)and off I went.🏃🏃

Down through the village again, waved and spoke to a neighbour who was still washing her car ,before she took it to the car wash !😂😂

Then out towards the farms, up through the bluebell wood and gatecrashed the sheeps field and the eventually home. So you see it took me a little longer than 2 .5k. 😤 As I do miles it was 2.2miles.

Slightly worrying ! Have develop a slight tightness in my chest as I run. I know it’s not my heart, just wondering if it could be the start of asthma as that’s what it appears to feel like. When I got home and into the warmth I started to cough a lot. Advice please!

Happy running😀😀
