Well after having a week off as I was strongly advised to do by many, I sat on the sofa tonight wondering if I'd ever run again. It doesn't take much for my motivation to crumble it would seem.
But luckily swmbo forced me out the door with a crowbar, so off I lurched into the night.
So after a yucky lurgey and a tiring housemove, I am officially back on programme. I managed to control my speed to my intended slow 7m per k approx and found the 7k actually very doable, with at least the feeling of another k in the tank.
So for those that advised a break. You were absolutely correct.
Just a nice lil 3.5 interval run to finish off week 3 on thursday and then onto wk4

Yes, absolutely glad I pulled it back together. It was a nice easy run too, a combination of starting out and maintaining my long distance slow speed and having had a few extra days recovery. Thanks for the support
really glad you got back out there. Your slow is my fast!
Thankyou. My slow would be a lot slower if I had to contend with those chipping hills The joy of living on the edge of the fens I guess. Will have to go touring to find some hills to train on.
That's kind of you to say so. I have a long way to go yet with the chipping hills! The other day I saw a runner sail up the nasty steep hill I often use as my warmup walk. He wasn't even out of breath and never slowed his pace.
