I'm really pleased with myself this weekend! My last Parkrun was followinga 3 week break due to various reasons, and I had to walk a couple of times. This meant that I'd added 4 minutes onto my first Parkrun time, and although a bit disheartened by this, I knew it was only a matter of time before I got my fitness levels back. Since that I've done two runs where I aimed for 5k, but again, I had to walk a bit. Yesterday morning I was not feeling too enthusiastic about getting out and running, but I am SO glad I did! I wasn't sure if I would be able to do the full 5k without walking a bit, so I was over the moon when I managed my sprint finish after running steadily the whole way! My time is only a minute slower than my first Parkrun, too! Want to do a couple more 5k consolidation runs now, and then on to the 10k plan 😁 Have a happy Sunday everyone! 🏃❤
