- but finding it really hard. Right now it is silly hot here!!! - so it's not a very good time to be attempting comebacks . I have run 3 parkruns over the past 10 days and seem to have gotten away with it. I am having a (probably) final xray tomorrow to see just what is the state of play after 31 weeks . I have lost a huge amount of fitness over the past 6 months - especially in the lungs department - regardless of time spent on bicycle and in the gym. I have done about 8 parkruns over the last couple of months since my last xray. Starting with walking around in 1 hour 5 minutes , I have got it down to 37:20 but that was HARD and a long way from my PB of 29:12.

It’s so frustrating isn’t it? You spend years trying to get fit and then all (or most) of your hard work disappears in months!

Good on ya Baz, it seems to me that different types of fitness training don't "cross over" I was a good swimmer before I started running, I thought running would be easy cos I was fit - not a bit of it....congrats on your pr time, you're faster than me anyway!
