Husband and relatives are now apparently used to my running, as husband’s response to me asking if it was okay if we slotted a Parkrun into our Nottingham trip before we head home on Saturday was ‘Of course’; and niece’s was - gesturing with her hands - “Forest Rec? That goes *wiggly line up, wiggly line down*” even though she is not a runner herself.
This means I have ended up travelling with 4 pairs of shoes/boots for a 2 day trip 🤦♀️, though I did forget my Garmin. Oops.

The shoe problem can be a bit of a pain. I’ve started taking my Vibrams 5 fingers. They are very minimalistic, really light and take up a lot less room than my clod-hopping trainers. At the beginning I used to alternate between the Vibrams and normal shoes, but I’m starting to like them more and more.
