No, I didn't run into the temporary bus stop that has appeared on my 5k route. It's tricky to spot in the dark but I just missed it.
It was potentially worse than that. My parent company is closing the site where I work with all jobs going in January. Merry Christmas to you too!
Friday I sulked. Saturday morning I opted for grocery shopping over running (lost the plot). Driving home I nearly had the front of my car taken off by an ancient driver who had clearly forgotten what indicators are for. Arrived home in tears. Had lunch (nice crusty baguette) and coffee. About 1.30 put on running gear. Procrastinated for 15 mins (nowhere near the record 9.5 hours on this site) and set off. Three laps of the village, 10k and a supply mission completed on Zombies, Run and I felt much better. Watched Bad Moms film in the evening. Had me laughing out loud. I can SO relate to It!!
Looking on the bright side, until I find another job I can run every day if I want. There is much written about the mental health benefits of exercise and I am sure my newly rediscovered love of running will help me through. It certainly lifted me out of the doldrums yesterday.
Love reading everyone else's posts on this site, they often have me chuckling over my breakfast. I also piggyback on the motivational things you all say to each other, most recently Jan's wobbles on the route to 10k that I was having too. We both got there.
Onwards and upwards!
PS: Anyone need a project manager in Kent....?
