Was doing Parkrun but slinky comes first....

Decided not to Parkrun today, firstly my wife who some of you may know on c25k as slinkylinky had a benign brain tumour removed on Wednesday which went very well and she came out of hospital yesterday, so I'm looking after her, then the weather is tipping it down, and I don't fancy coping with mud over the park this morning. Then I'm doing a 5k virtual poppy run booked anyway for tomorrow when sun is forecast, so I think gaining a step nearer to the 50 milestone red shirt can wait another week..😊

Good for you Dave, loved ones come first!

What time are you running tomorrow? I will do my poppyrun at same time...I’m guessing 11am?

Maybe before that, as my nephew is volunteer warmup leader at junior Parkrun tomorrow, so looking at joining in the warm up..

Thankyou, I took slinky to the clinic today to have the clips taken out of her head as written on the hospital form to be done from the 14th, which I thought a tad early at 6 days, and the nurse with a 2nd opinion decided it was too early for them to be removed, so a a new appointment was made for Monday.

I could say the treatment and recovery has moved along very swiftly and maybe a tad too swiftly at times, nothing wrong with that in a sense but healing can't be rushed. Full credit to modern medicine, surgeons, doctor's, nursing staff and the great NHS....

That's good news. You're right about healing taking time though. Even an op that goes perfectly well is still a shock to the system, physically and psychologically.

Hope all goes well on Monday.
