Is there an official App ...

Hi, sorry, I shouldn’t really be posting in this group, yet, as I’ve not graduated C25K... week 9 starts Saturday 😬

Question ... is there an official app that accompanies the Bridge 2 10k program, have looked on the App Store, and there are loads around, but I think I’d like to use one from the same family ...

Thanks in advance ...

i don't think there is have looked and asked several times only way i can think of doing a bridge to 10k is finding a decent training programme and setting up the weekly runs as a strava set (not the correct term but i know strava can let you set up a specific routine in its app), i followed the poscasts so would love something similar not yet found an "official" podcast either :( i think they are really missing out here, unless they are doing something we don't know ...?

Thanks @womblejogger will keep a look out, but as you say, I might need to cobble together my own program, there’s plenty of time for that though, I’d like to spend a couple of months consolidating on the 5k distance and improving my pace ... then embark on the quest for 10k ... 😬

ju-ju- has put a plan together on the pinned posts which some follow. There are various other apps or podcasts you can follow if you want to. Others on here just increase distance gradually following the 10% rule so as not to incur any injury (hopefully).

If you are about to graduate you could use the C25K+ podcasts to break up your consolidation just to give you a bit of structure every so often.

Take a look at this. The wonderful AndyD put it together .

healthunlocked.com/couchto5......

The Samantha one.....Sami Murphy, loads of us have followed. But please do not do it until you have graduated and then consolidated your 30 min runs for sometime.

Sami is a music file, so will be in your tunes, not a podcast.

I will be doing a new couch to 10 programme starting on the 1st of December. It will be pretty simple and each week I will post what to do and a vid. I'll be posting this week for golf to sign up.. equally you may want to do your own thing or a different plan 😎

I use podrunner, they have a program to build to 7k or 10k, you run to a certain bpm to get you there. There’s no coach in your ear though but I love the dance music!

I also use podrunner for general runs at increasing bpm, and there’s a range of interval training too.

It’s not for everyone but worth a look!

Thanks Rammy75 I'll defo look into that, I like music when I'm running, especially if the BPM are within my speed range, helps to regulate the tempo.

There are there 3 audios stepping stones, stamina and speed all on the nhs.co.uk link. Same place where i downloaded couch to 5 I.

Laura introduces them. They run for about 30 mins each.

Congratulations on getting through the 5K app! I recommend the zenlabs bridge to 10K app if that's what you want to do next. :-)
