☔️Hello, rainy run…didn’t realise that I missed you!🌧️🏃‍♀️💞

I was tired yesterday.😴 I spent the day saying I might not run today…I needed the rest…I was SO tired…it would be better to miss it etc etc! 🙄

And then Sunday came round of course, my OH ran early - got his 12K in - buzzing on return. 👍🙂OK, I thought - maybe I would go out this afternoon - it looked a little cooler…get out before the rain.🤞

And then the rain came early - just as I was about to head out! Only light, so I hooked my running cap onto my run belt and off I went.

A couple of kilometres on the roads to warm up before heading on to the local trails again. The rain settled in, nice and steady…and so refreshing! ☺️ And I settled in to my run, nice and steady too! Kate Bush playing on my Shokz 🎵🎧and the sound of the rain on the leaves above me as I made my way along the railway line. Quiet for a Sunday afternoon but no complaints about that and the run slowly feeling more comfortable as I found my rhythm. My legs felt strong today and the kilometres buzzed by on my Garmin - I added a little on to my planned route, finishing at 12K in the now heavy rain…but goodness, how I have missed it! 🌧️🙏🙂

it’s rather soporific running in the warm rain. I think I could almost fall asleep 😀

How lovely it must have been to run in the rain shower Sandra. It has certainly cleared the air too. It sounds that 12k was just what you needed too.

I must say I’m delighted to have a full water butt again.

How wonderful! I was really hoping it would rain on my run this afternoon but sadly it saved it until I was almost home.

That sounds so lovely! I was tempted to run in the rain yesterday afternoon, but got telephone calls which delayed everything so I gave up! So refreshing!

I love running in the summer rain too Sandra. 🥰 In fact I’m always overly disappointed if I time it wrong and it’s cleared up before I get out, or stops mid-run. Get me drenched, that’s how I love it! 💦
