Wohoo did my first 10K. Did my rest days for the first time too which was very important towards my 10. Can't believe it though and I'm so chuffed did it in 64mins I don't know if that good or not but pretty good for me.

Only started getting to 7.5 - 8k first few weeks but had managed two 9k this week so pushed myself for the 10K today. Hope you get yours soon xx

Thats why I love this board. There is always inspiration somewhere! I am using the c210k app and have about 4-5 weeks to finish the program. Thank you and best of luck with your runs going forward 👍🏼

Not sure when my next 10K will be but I'm happy with today and happy if I only get 10K once a week and 8-9 the other two runs. Onwards and upwards, and I'm still two stone overweight so any progress is good.

Really really pushed myself in the last 1k. So happy with myself but not looking forward to the disappointment of not getting it again or in the same time. Progress is in the right direction that's all that matters.

Won't happen every time as each run is different....route weather conditions

Just enjoying running that is the key

That's the plan so far I'm happy that I'm actually running now and can see the progress.

Well done. That is another milestone.

It sounds as if you are doing 2x 8-9k runs and a 10k all in the same week. Nothing wrong with that if that is where you want to go, but most of us are happy to do a couple of 5ks each week and then a longer run....... that's what I do anyway, considering the 5ks as maintenance runs to enable the joy of the longer run.

Keeping one run per week as your long run gives you the opportunity to extend distance without burning out, especially if you begin to move to even further distance. You are much more likely to improve your 10k time if you only do it once a week.

Keep running, keep smiling.

Why???

Just curious... you graduated from C25K a month ago...? I am just curious... why the hurry? :)

And why you would join a programme, but not follow it.. not a criticism.... just a question?

Addiction is a great thing and with achievement came more addiction. Have now made myself start taking rest days so as to not burn out.
