Did a Virtual Super Sprint Triathlon yesterday as a fun challenge consisting of
400m swim - time 20:17 -not my strongest event!
10km bike - time 21:05
2.5km run - time 15:58
Glad to have completed it and hats off to those who do this event for real and over the bigger distances. Need to work on my swimming technique that's for sure.
Continuing my quest to be ready for the Great South Run with probably my most impressive week of running and other training so far. A sprint pyramid where you increase each block of sprinting by a minute, a 12k, and my second fastest time of the year at parkrun. Gym / weights session with my personal trainer, 2nd gym / weights session, 2 swims and an aqua class. Finished it all with an afternoon on the committee boat as race officer at my Sailing club's regatta. Now sunk back into the 'couch' with a cold, oh dear.
