Ducks in a row....

Well, 3 Parkruns in successive weeks, on different courses, raising my total from 4 to 7! Today's was more hilly than the others so my time was slower. But who cares, I enjoyed it! Thinking of doing another different course next Saturday. I think I need to enter for a 10k race to motivate myself to increase distance. The one I was entered for at the end of August was cancelled by the organisers πŸ˜₯

Happy running to those of us who can, and a speedy recovery to those currently on the IC πŸ˜„

That is great! It must be interesting running different courses. I haven't done a park run - nearest is 3 hours away!

Maybe take a well earned break after your season is over and do a Park Run! :)

Well I was thinking of looking into a Park Run while I am on holiday! Perhaps Taunton.....

I'm lucky in that I have probably half a dozen Parkruns within about 30 minutes (at least on a Saturday at 8.15 πŸ˜„)

Good for you. Just make sure there's bling involved in the race πŸ™‚

Sure! Actually I found a link to one last night, near me, in 3 weeks. That's sooner than I wanted but this sounds like a lovely course through countryside and woodland. I haven't run further than 5k for about 6 weeks so I'd have to work hard on distance in the next 3 weeks. Do you think that's silly/stupid/asking for trouble?

Have you run further before? I think you have in which case you could do it again. I always think if you can do 7K in training you can do the 10K on race day. And you can definitely get to 7K in the next three weeks πŸ™‚

I got to 8k. I was doing the Sami Murphy podcasts and got to week 5 though I didn't finish it. This was about 6 weeks ago.

Thanks Floss x

I think I have missed 3 parkruns in a row 😒 But I have volunteered at junior parkrun for the last few weeks. Well done for getting out there, I miss it. The atmosphere is fun.

I think I missed about 20 in a row! My daughter volunteers at her local one and has been encouraging me to do that as she says she's making so many new friends, but for the moment I'd rather run them when I can πŸ˜„
