I started my training this week for 10K. On Tuesday I ran with the Athletics club on the track. A 1 mile challenge, 4 laps as fast as I could manage with warm up and cool down laps. On Thursday evening I ran 6K. This morning I did a Parkrun with my Brother and his Girlfriend, both whom are 13 years younger than me and just turning 30. I decided to just relax and run a nice comfortable 5k and use it as a training run rather than a race. Finished in 33 minutes and still had plenty in the tank, well before I dropped the hammer for the last 200 meters. 😀 Week 1 done. I'll attempt a 7k run next Thursday.
