I ran 8 miles a few times and quickened my pace. Now I'm having problems with my left hip. Therefore I stopped running and started doing other exercises like spinning and the elliptical machine. Swimming as well. So saddened I can't run. Too much too soon. Now an injury.
Major setback : I ran 8 miles a few times and... - Bridge to 10K

Hmm - too much too soon. Possibly - I think it would need some medical evaluation to make that decision. However, the statement is often true. We are all in a rush to get somewhere - whether it is losing weight that we have gained over the past decade - or run further/faster than we ever have before. Etc. I have often wanted to put a bumper sticker on my car that says " Why are your hurrying? You will get to your grave soon enough!"
