Hmm - two weeks isn't very long after having a knee "the size of a melon" . Did you have this melon looked at , at the time??? Because, if not, you and we don't know what caused that swelling. I was surprised to find out - three weeks after badly twisting my ankle - that the bruising evident on my foot for a few days after the incident was a sure indication that I had fractured a bone. So - even though I could walk and had done so for quite long distances for 3 weeks after the incident, I indeed had a fractured bone and can't ( as my doctor says, run or jump - for the next couple of months!!!)
Sorry to hear that Bazza - Used to play semi pro cricket and had this injury for years so know that it's nothing serious just swelling but feel a bit tentative about the first steps!!! Must be getting old!!!
I think it probably is. Your body is good at protecting itself, maybe it thinks it's a bit too soon?
At which point you have to decide whether to listen to it and rest for another few days, or ignore it because it's being daft, and go for it (gently of course).
