Feeling very proud this morning having just run a SB of 29:50. My third time going under 30 minutes since I graduated March 2016. I'm on week 2 of B2 10k and already those extra miles seem to paying off! So it's true what they say, "To run faster, you have run further!"

It is just a matter of miles on the legs, as far as I am concerned. The greater distance gives you the psychological advantage of knowing that you are not just about to reach your distance limit.
Getting under those arbitrary targets is very satisfying.
Well done.

Haven't seen you here for ages. Well done on the PB 👏👏👏
Not quite a PB, but a SB! I've been slogging away weekly with pretty slow Parkrun times over the past couple of months. Still running every other day at my new time of 6am, and trying to fit in some strength work on the rest days. Also seeing a tiny bit of weight loss now I've increased my distance.
That's fantastic well done! As you say all those extra miles you are putting in are paying off. I am training for my first half marathon in October so building up the miles each week but still can't hit the golden 'under 30mins' for my park run grrrrr!
Can I ask did you run under 6mins on each kilometre? And do you have any tips to help me reach my target ? Thanks
