About two week ago I completed the c25k programme. Since then my exercise went downhill. Partially due to asthma problems but mainly psychological I think. I kept telling myself I should be able to run thirty minutes fairly easily now and felt frustrated if I was tired early. So I gave in.
Today I did something different. I told myself I would just run as long as I could then walk for a bit. Being kind to myself had awesome results: I ran for forty minutes straight :D.
Moral of the story: Gentleness and kind persuasion win where force and bluster fail.

That's the best advice I've heard all morning. Thank you! We should stop beating ourselves up and start being positive about what's right, and not only for our running.
