So I started today. I went to the park where my local parkrun takes place. All went OK for the 1st 10 min section but on the 2nd one my calf started to hurt. It started off just as a twinge but then got more painful. This meant I did a lot of walking rather than the 4 ten min sections. By the time i got to the end i was hobbling along! So a bit disappointing but will just need to try again another day. 😕

You may need to start regular calf stretching and strengthening exercises. A foam roller is also good for loosening tight calf muscles post run.
Good luck runner!

Oh dear! I did week1, run 1 yesterday and found it a real struggle. The one minute walk did not help much and, like you had twinges but behind my knee (same place as injury last year). Hopefully your calf will be ok.
