On the same subject as Irishprincess it's a bit too blowy here today... We're taking a break with friends, in North Devon, and I was hoping to do a run around Mortehoe and Woolecombe Bay.

Anyway, it's spectacular to watch the storm from the safety of the house and I'll be out there tomorrow when it calms down!

Wow..great photo... what stunning view... :)

I had to forego my run too.. was going to do a flying snail impression but husband said not:(

So, Cross-trainer for me.. had my studio door open for the chill factor :)

Have a wonderful time and enjoy your safe run tomorrow :) x

It's horrendous out there!. Just got back in from walking the dog

I have two runs to catch up on, and was going to try for one this morning but have changed my mind. Horizontal rain, squally, and gusting side winds to knock you over. It got worse the longer I was out. Safely back indoors now, thank goodness

Great pic! Believe it could be woolecombe bay? I have walked along that headland seen in the distance..😊

It is Woolecombe Bay, we're staying in Mortehoe. My first time here - I can imagine it's a bit too busy in Summer, but lovely now 😊

Good decision. Your time is better spent on capturing the awesomeness of the storm on pictures :)

We walked 10km instead, making a couple of 'forays' to the headland and Lee village otherwise staying inland !

Dad and I had just about the best cream tea ever at the pub in Morthoe one February about 20 years ago! Lovely memories! :) (we'd been for a cold and blowy walk around the cliff tops them realised we'd probably left it a bit late to get into woolacombe before everywhere closed. Then found the pub. Warm, fresh, perfect scones on a cold day. The stuff of great memories!)

Hope you managed a good run once Doris had moved on...
