Timing when I got through the 10K was actually 57:04 so my tracker slightly out (my fault for not stopping it as I almost collapsed at the end a bit) but I felt really horrible between 5-7K and dizzy and my legs just felt like they weren't part of my body at the end - still.... Horrible and wet out there...
Bless you, a truly fantastic time. Was it an event or race? I just shy away from anything remotely competitive, I like to bumble along at my own comfortable pace but I admire your energy and enthusiasm, well done!
Great time for a 1st 10k. I've yet to achieve the sub hour mark for a 10k. Did one last Sept and hit the wall at 7k and struggled the rest of the way in. Been putting the training in since then and got my sights set on the Colshaw Hall 10k in June.
That's great for a 1st 10k! especially as you felt rough in parts! My young 18 year old friend who's done a few 10ks is only a few minutes better than that when we did our race back in October! I couldn't get under 60 mins! probably does depend on how you feel on the day!..
