Weekly chat May 30 - June 5th
Happy bank hol wknd everyone. My running's been a bit haphazard the past few months, but after running 3 times including a 10k and a parkrun last week, I'd like to keep up my new zeal, and hope this is the way things will stay going forward. A friend is joining me for parkrun next weekend, so just two more to schedule in during the week. Hopefully one of which might be another 10k
Bank holiday? Huh! Not over here
Can't complain though, we get about 19 public holidays a year...
I did speed, stamina and a 6k run last week. The stamina run was meant to get me to 5k, but the weather did for me and I plodded round a very hot and draining 4.7k. It's my own fault. I should have gone at 5 in the morning instead of 4.30 in the afternoon. But staying in bed seemed like a better option at the time....
My bed holds me hostage like that too. Luckily temperatures have dropped down to a breezy 10 degrees at the moment here. I'm planning to take advantage of the cooler temperatures for as long as I can! Hope you manage to get up earlier and get some cooler runs in this week
Three lovely runs last week culminating in a fab Parkrun - first 5k in ages and a total joy. Really feeling the running love at the moment. Did Speed this morning and then started wondering if I could get away with another run this evening. Luckily Mrs Sensible Head took control and I gave myself a hard metaphorical slap for being so daft. Will definitely be waiting until Wednesday. 😀
Yay I'm feeling the running love again at the moment too. Maybe this is the perfect time of year for it or something. Enjoy your Wednesday run
I am slowly rebuilding my fitness after a hiatus and my three runs last week were all pleasant but varied. I did a 5K trail (in the rain) on Monday, a 5K interval session on Wednesday and a gentle 7.5K on Friday.
I have entered a 10K race on July 3rd which will be a good test albeit I will do well to get within 3-4 minutes of my PB.
I only managed one run last week, but it was a pretty good one
No runs😕. Coming home tomorrow. Can't wait to get out I've never NOT moved so much for ages. On the plus side my Dad has enjoyed having me around and we have sorted loads of computer stuff and things. I was lucky if I reached 5000 steps a day. I'm used to 10,000 - 14,000. My arthritis hates it. Running here I come as soon as I can.
