Can anyone advise me as to how I can carry my mobile phone when running as I'm hopeless without my music. i have tried an armband but can't really get on with it.  Also if anyone knows of anything, what do you call it and where would I get one from.

Hi my phone fits into the pocket of my running pants. I have to take it out of the phone case. Otherwise I preserve with my armband although I do wear my armband on my forearm.

Hope you manage to find what works for you.

Happy running 👟

I used to just tuck it in my waistband but my phone got all sweaty (sorry tmi?!) so now I use a running belt. Would rather not have to but I didn't get on with an armband either. Got mine from Sports Direct.

I have tried the waist band too with exactly the same result.  I will have a look in Sports Direct.  Thanks for that.

I use a running belt too, keeps my phone, a key, dog poo bags and dog treats!  Got it from Amazon.  I don't even notice I'm wearing it...

Thanks for that.  Im going on a run this morning, if the fog ever lifts, and will try the bra before I go shopping.

My arm band kept falling down down I Freecycled it.  I  tuck my mp3 player into the small pocket in the back of my run pants. It's tiny but it holds my  music player and my key, or just my key. I never run with my phone as it's too heavy. Can't stand running with much stuff

I now what you mean about running with stuff  - I don't like it either but all my music is on my phone, so I will try some of the great suggestions I have had, but thanks for replying.

I use a soft spectacles case like this ecx.images-amazon.com/image...  Clip it onto the waistband of your shorts or onto your running belt. Readily available and cheap/free. Most people who are spectacles wearers will have them stached away somewhere!

Thanks for that.  Great idea - just about to go onto Amazon.

Thanks for that but all my music is on iPhone.  I have had several great suggestions, so will try them all until I find one that suits.

I know armbands aren't everyone's cup of tea but I use one of these - y-fumble.com/  It's comfortable and I don't know it's there although probably not great if you want to access your phone while your're running!

I like the look of that - is it waterproof?

Also worth mentioning that Bluetooth headphones make everything a lot easier as you're not restricted by wires. I use them and generally keep my phone in the pocket of my capris from Decathlon (Elioplay capris I think) so it's halfway down my leg.

I use a lycra belt (google flip belt for examples).

I didn't get on with the arm band either, but really like the belt - its so comfortable.

I dont use this but know a few peeps that have these -

I agree with the bluetooth headphones tip - it's much easier to run without wires to deal with. A cheap & cheerful running belt from Decathlon does the job and also takes emergency tissue and keys without jiggling around. Another tip (you didn't ask, I know, but...): keep a card in the belt with your name and the number of someone who can be contacted in case of emergency. I do that, as I run alone. I don't recommend putting your phone in your bra or waistband - apart for the risk of it falling out, and the discomfort, after a while it will probably suffer from the sweat.

What a great idea to keep a card with you in case of emergency. I, too, run alone.  Next time I go out, I will definitely carry one with me.

Just a word of caution about putting a phone down your bra - I don't do this but some people who have have said that the sweat can cause problems with the phone.  Sorry for TMI!

A flipbelt is apparently good.  I still use an armband for my phone, but also have a waist belt for longer runs when I need to carry extra stuff.

Hope you can find something that works for you.

I have a flip belt. I love it. Works really well and, bonus point, it stops my capris falling down!

Thanks for that tip.

I hadn't thought about that.  I wish there was a possibility of my capris falling down.   There is too much flesh to hold them up. Ha.

I use this - it's brilliant.
