I might be interested, but I'm not sure I understand exactly what's required. Did you do this last year RFC? I must have missed t...

I did it in 2014 I missed last year as I was doing my first HM and didn't want to commit to too much but it fits in with what I am trying to do this year. I have opted for 30 min either run, swim, weights, stretch or walk for me every day for 50 days. I like the Challange of shaking things up a bit. You could do yoga, cycling aerobics or any exercise related. There are four different ones this year. 5km every day, 30min every day or share the 5km with someone else you each do 50% of the Challange or build up from 5 min a day to 50. Each day you go to the website and log your activities and we all do that as one team. The principal is by then end of 50 days you have formed a habit.

Thanks for explaining, I think, honestly, that's too much for me, I normally run every other day, don't think I could manage any more xx

I couldn't run every other day. I'm thinking run day 1, day 2 30 min Stretch then day 3) 30 min s!ow walk , day 4 ) run then day 5) 30min swim, that sort of thing

You're right of course, I did some medical research recently that involved wearing a movement detector/heart monitor for a week, and I was shocked and a bit horrified that I came out as sedentary. I thought I was quite active... this might be just what I need to get me moving a bit more...I'd do the 30 mins a day as well. What do I need to do now - do you register us as a team or what?

You need to go to the link above and register. I think the minimumn is £5 for the whole thing then when you register put your team as HU\C25k-2016. I made the mistake of not changing from challenge a to b when I joined but they said they will change it for me. I am hoping it will give me the push I need to do more stretches and core.

I'm thinking I'll not wait until March, but make a start right now! Today I'm going to walk up to Aldi, i would normally drive! March is weird for me as I will be going back to France, via Spain, and I know travelling knackers me and I will have a huge amount to do when I arrive. I'll let you know nearer the time if I'm going to sign up.

Hmmm... might sign up and do the 30 mins a day thing - there are days when I don't leave my desk much and it would force me to get out and about again, even if it's just for a 30 minute walk. I'll think about it. The problem is that I never felt that 30 mins of stretches or weights equalled 5k, the only time I did this - it felt like I cheated.
