I should of known better. I have one on each foot that I think is going to go black. They are looking slightly bruised This morning. Anyone know if there is anything I can do to salvage the situation or is it too late? I could kick myself. Well I would if my legs weren't sore after yesterday 😃.

Oh bad news RFC. In my (admittedly very limited) experience, when they turn black, they've gone past the point of no return. Maybe icing could help ......

Ouch 😣!!! Always cut ur toenails, otherwise they make holes in ur running socks - definitely even worse to have a black toenail, what caused it - was it impact from the run?

I know I was always told you cut your toenail 2 weeks before an event that way if you over cut it has time to heal but not grow too long. But I completely forgot. I think it was wet shoes and swollen feet combination. Normally the shoes are fine.

They might just stay bruised looking. I've had a few like that and it just grows out without going black. My little toe nail fell off though because, like you, I forgot to cut my toenails and it kept catching. Was very painful for a while but it had become infected so I suspect that was its ultimate demise. Good luck!

I've had black toe nails too, from my first pair of shoes. I don't seem to get them now. In my experience they look a bit unsightly but don't hurt, so do you need to do anything to/with them?

I had that with a bad pair of shoes once. With This one even a bit of pressure from my soft booty slippers I can feel the two toes. Im now thinking it's just a bit bruised and maybe will feel better in a couple of days, I wasn't planning on doing anything major on the exercise front this week mainly swimming so I can give it a week to heel.
