I ran my first 10k today.

Well it was supposed to be 7.5, but I felt so good at that point that I decided to do 10, miscalculated and did 11! My app got seriously confused by all that but I think it took me about 1hr10 to cover the 10k.

At 2k I felt awful, at 7.5 I felt fantastic and at 11 I felt like another 5 would have been no trouble. I think I get how people end up running silly distances.

I couldn't have done it without the ever blessed Laura, I started the c25k at the start of October and I remember how worried I was when she said it was time to run for three whole minutes!

Great run. Make sure u rest ur legs now. I have had a week off because I was running too far too fast. Settling into one long run a week again, starting with 2 X 5 k. Fantastic confidence boost to manage 10!!

It's brilliant isn't it! I did my second 10k this morning and it's strange when you get to the end and you feel you could just keep going despite running for an hour! There's no way I ever think like that when I finish a 5k.

Totally agree - there is a real feeling of settling in to a long run, I find.☺

Well done! Be careful though as my spontaneous 9k turned into an injury, take it really easy this week :) it feels great though doesn't it?
