I have had an absolute bitch of a week, I messed up a training course which really isn't me, I've just felt down and fed up in general and I haven't run for a week.
Yesterday I went for a 5k and was really impressed with the time until I realised that I had missed the .12 of the 3m12 miles ๐.
Never mind onto week 6 run 3 of JuJu's plan and the target was 9k or 5.65 miles. I ran a nice slow deliberate pace and felt up for it. Really enjoyed the run tonight never wanted to quit and pretty decent all the way round. Almost home with the run complete and it was just too tempting not to go for it so dug in found a little extra in the tank and got to 10k or 6.20 miles in just under 1 hour 9 minutes.
Man my legs are done but the lungs were still going, I suspect I will be paying for this tomorrow.

Well done for persevering! Sometimes I think we need to congratulate our mind more than our body. Our mind can stop our bodies even when our bodiesโ can do it. Iโve started saying thank you to my mind after each run. During my runs I repeat โkeep going, youโve got this!.โ I imagine will be v important as I begin my bridge to 10km and beyond in a couple of days!
