Improving my knees!

I have completed C25K and now after 14 weeks, also run 10k after a slow build up. So far so good, I had some aches along the way but no injuries. My legs always respond to rest days and I adjust my runs if they tell me off. Occasionally I have a niggle in my knee but wondering what is a niggle compared to an injury? Also, what is the best way to make my knees stronger?

I don't want to look a fool to my non running friends and end up hobbling around!

Hi Julie,

Just a thought, have you had your alignment looked at by a sports physion. It could that your knees aren't tracking properly - easily alleviated by the right in-soles or custom-made orthotics.

Cheers
