Aquathlons...?!

Who's heard of/done one of these before? Just been browsing for events to enter this year to keep me motivated and came across an event called an 'aquathlon' which is new to me! It appeals to me because I like swimming but can't cycle to save my life, my partner has done triathlons but he also likes the cycling part least. Maybe we can do it together! (I say together... I'll be a little speck in the distance behind him probably).

The one I am looking at is in March... 20 lengths of pool and then a 5km run. Dare I...?!

Never heard of it, so prompted by your post, I did a search and find there is a regular event at our local pool and adjacent park ☺

I can't cycle for toffee but can swim. Ta for the heads up ☺

Oh, you should. I'd love to do one - never learned to cycle properly but the idea of a multi-sport event really appeals. There's been none I've found in my town, most events are run-bike and skip the swimming.

Oh yes please! I can't ride a bike either, my ear problems mean no sense of balance - I can't steer and just fall off lol! I can't do front crawl any more but I reckon I should be ok with breast stroke, and I'm thinking about giving swimming another go...*runs off to Google*

I think all the time I spent swimming as a kid caused my ear probs. I was never dry!
