Brest cancer

My mother is 72 year old. Recently she had gone Mastectomy on 22/06/2015. After all the test we found she is triple negative . what will be the next step. She can't go through chemotherapy. Pl help

Hi Asis - very sorry to hear about your mother. Is it that the Doctor has informed she can't go thro' chemo. How is her overall health?

As per she can't go thro chemo. over all health is not great. She had gone through two operation before like Knee replacement, Gallbladder stone removal, She BP,sugar, heart problem etc.

Let your Oncologist decide. 72 years is not an absolute no no for chemo. Occasionally, if health allows, a low dose chemo can be given. There are a lot of factors which are considered in elderly patients to decide whether to give chemo or not and they are beyond the scope of discussion of this forum.

I suggest you sit and understand from your oncologist, the risk of recurrence and then take a careful and calculated call on what to do next.
