Letrozole increased my appetite and I gained about 25 lbs. I also suffered minor joint pains. Most of the pain and all of the weight disappeared about a year after I stopped taking it. It’s worth it to me if it helped prevent a recurrence of my HER2 positive breast cancer. I’m now a healthy 8.5 year survivor.

I was the same on tamoxifen for five now letrezole. I have bone ache and am overweight, finding it extremely difficult to lose any 😈😈😈😈

I find different brands make me feel worse so have to go for teva. If I have capla I feel worse but doctor won't specify brands so I ask first.

Good luck with your journey. 😂

Hi I've been on Letrazole for 2months now and my main problems are achy joints and muscles and sensitivity of mucus membranes, namely the nose with sores and sensitive when I pee! Also gives issues with intimacy, as affects those membranes too! If also causes numbness in toes! But not everyone suffers the same, so you may be okay with it. It blocks or reduces oestrogen production, so because I'm HER+ it's the best option.

Good luck with everything regards Sarah

Hi, I've been on it for 2.5years since Tamoxifen stint. I'd advise NOT looking for side effects as it can induce them research says! That said, I've been helped immensely by Vagifem and argan oil conditioner. It's the best to avoid recurrence so hopefully you will get many nany years of benefit, Survivor
