I have had to pick out this very hard stone like pebbles for at least 8/9 months if not longer I had colonoscopy 19th Oct 2024 ( polyp history) none that time thanks it is March and still doing it now up to 2/4 times a day that leaves me shredded to bits up my bum I feel I have "NO CHOICE" but to carry on doing so it's as if I am trying to take charge of it instead of it controlling me
I would of thought that if anything else other than this Diverticular Disease/IBS they would of picked it up from then!!!
I take all kind of IBS tablets that I can think of bucsopan alverine mebervine colpermine the usual thing and omeprazole and co codamol for pain ETC to be honest I am at the end of my rope now with it I can't stand walk and as for sitting it feels like rocks and got cream to put up there for piles
I eat the same food every day what I call "SAFE FOOD" and eat it at the same time every day to try and avoid it upsetting myself before I try to go bed worry free from it attacking/visiting me before bed ETC
Can anyone help please???

all the ibs stuff you are taking will make the constipation worse as the things you are taking are designed for people with loose bowels so you are making it worse taking all those meds especially the co codamol. You need to stop all the pills and add more fibre rich foods into your diet and add a laxative as you are clearly very constipated which will cause a lot of pain all on its own xx
I agree with MyStar86, the cocktail of medications you are taking is certainly making things worse for you. Co Codamol is notorious for causing constipation. You may consider visiting your local pharmacist and asking for a medicines review. You may have to make an appointment for this so give them a call first. They can also advise you on symptom management.
Also, please try and increase your fluid intake to at least 2 litres of water a day. I was diagnosed in December 2024 and increasing my water intake is the one thing that has really helped. It took me a while to get up to 2 litres per day, but I was advised to try jelly and smoothies to help. Tea and coffee are diuretics so don’t count these as part of your fluid intake.
