I have been taking K2 for years along with calcium , vitD and magnesium among other supplements and upon reading the posts on the forum, I realized that I have been taking a minuscule amount of k2. Does anyone know if it is necessary to start low and build up or should I go all in since I am 65 and a prime candidate for osteoporosis. I have only been taking 45 Mcgs per day. Yikes. Any advice? I am currently reading the Calcium Paradox.

I haven't heard that you need to build up gradually. I just started straight off on 200mcg daily, no problems.
Hi Ayorkor, I take between 600 and 1200 mcg daily. It isn't necessary to build up as there is no toxicity. If you have been taking calcium then you will need a higher dose to offset the calcium. K2 helps to put the calcium into your bones along with magnesium. See the fb group vitamin d3 and it's co-factors uk. There is a lot of useful info on why we need the co-factors if taking d3 as this increases the uptake of calcium from your food
Thank you. Is it ok to take them all in one sitting which is normally what I do. I have a thyroid situation so I have to wait 4 hours for supplements which I hate. I read conflicting reports about whether or not they should be taken together. I take only 500 mg in Calcium and try to make up the rest in diet.
The one I take is Nutrizing. One capsule is 600 mcg, so I take it after food. I take bp tablets so I also have the 4 hour wait or you can take 2 hours before your medical supplements.
