Calcium channel blockers and bone density

Hello everyone,

I have been wondering whether calcium channel blocker medications used to lower blood pressure have an adverse effect on bone density. I have been taking felodipne for several years and have recently been diagnosed with osteopenia. Has anyone else taking similar meds experienced the same thing?x

I've just done a google search and come up with contradictory conclusions (as ever!): ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl... and blog.content.health.harvard.... It might be worth discussing it with your GP.

I've been taking Felopipine for several years too, since before OP diagnosis. Makes you wonder!
