Hi I have started taking 2.5mg of ramipril has anyone had any experience good or bad with taking supplements along with Ramipril I was taking vitamin D , garlic , vitaminB Complex, and omega 3 but I stopped a couple of weeks ago because I was on 10mg of lercanidipine along with the supplements named above I was very light headed so stopped the supplements to see would it help but it did not help so was switched to ramipril .I would like to start taking the supplements again just for general health benifits please dont say ask your doctor because if it is a question outside the box or not covered in there textbook they wont know the answer I would rather hear from someone with first hand experience

I’m not on Ramipril but another anti hypertensive and a statin. but I do take vit D and omega 3. And turmeric and a couple of others.

I wouldn’t say “ask your doc” but what I would say is “ask your pharmacist”. Your dispensing pharmacist if you buy the supplements from that source. Otherwise the one employed by your doctor’s group of surgeries (I think most UK surgeries do this).

Asking for firsthand experience isn’t necessarily helpful in my view. Suppose you had ten answers five of which said “great and five said “terrible”. What then? Asking a professional would be better.

I was on Ramipril and Dr. told me to take vit D. It made no difference.

I came off Ramipril as blood pressure has stabilised lower than is was initially.

I continued with 1.25% Bisoprolol.

I take 10mg Ramipril and all 4 of the supplements you mention and don’t have any issues. But we’re all different, you could start by taking one for a week then add each one in as you go along maybe. I also didn’t get on with Lercanidipine which was a shame as it was effective in doing its job otherwise.
