Hi, I've recently had my BP med switched from Lercanidipine to Felodipine. I'm finding Felodipine is giving me bad headaches, has anyone else found this an issue and if so did anything help? I'm unable to take Ibuprofen as I'm asthmatic, the only thing which helped was Syndol and that's not available anymore.

I’m. It on this myself. But I’ve two thoughts. One is that anything you put into your body will have some effect or other, whether it’s simply water or a burger or medication, and your body may take a little time to settle. I expect your doc has already told you this, though.
The other thought is for you to contact the charity B,old Pressure UK.
sorry, I said I’m on this - I meant I’m NOT on this medication.
Hello Pinkutd , I had side effects on so many blood pressure pills and had dizzy spells and headaches with many of them. We all know there are side effects to most of the medication we take but I’m sure if you go back to your dr they could prescribe something else for you which maybe would suit you better. After trying several different blood pressure pills my dr has now given me a slow release pill called Indapamide and I don’t experience any side effects with this at all. I do hope you will be given something else to try as there are so many others on the market.
hi, I have had four heart attacks in 14 years and have 10 stents and been on most all of the meds at one time everyone reacts differently to each one they don’t always suit everyone, I take Felodopine at present and apart from the headaches it makes me wheezy ,I am due to see my consultant in two weeks primarily for a yearly check up and review the meds, I always give the medication six weeks to settle in and take effect properly, so if it’s not for you and you can’t handle the particular side effects of that drug alternative options are available dialogue with your physician is paramount
Yes Feloipine does give headaches. Try Co Enzyme and Magnesium tablets. Drink water. CCB are strong so try to keep to low dose with an ARB.
