Losartan

I have been taking Losartan for one month with no side effects. Previously tried Amlopidine with terrible side effects so could not tolerate it. I had been on Ramipril for about 12 years but when my dose was increased slightly my BP dramatically went up rather than becoming lower - 216/110

I have tried various statins but all eventually affected my muscles so stopped taking them.

I am having the same thing happening with amlodipine. I've been on it for 20 years now. Going to ask Dr to switch me to something else.

I have been in amlodopine for 10 weeks. It has been grim but getting better now. What actually were the side effects for you ?

The worst side effect was insomnia due to my heart racing, I could also hear my heart beat continually which was disconcerting.
