Is my bp okay?

Hey guys..Im 20 years old, 56kg and 175cm.. I suffer from panic attacks pretty bad (since 17, but had a few of them since 11)

I used to have them almost everyday.. (now Im on antidepressants and they descreased) they would last for hours sometimes.. and I have general anxiety about my health, because my heart always does weird stuff - heaviness on chest, shortness of breath, heart pounding hard and fast just by moving a little/standing up, going up stairs.. adrenaline rushes in my heart, PVCs and PACs.. All of my tests are okay. But only with slight discomfort, my diastolic blood pressure goes up a lot.. Only the diastolic. Systolic is okay. Normally my diastolic is around 80-86 (idk if thats okay for my age, I sometimes feel like its a little too high)

when I feel my symptoms my diastolic is 90-110.. and goes back to around 105/83 in an hour or so..is that a problem? Does it indicate im gonna have issues when I age? Do I have issues now? Im worried sick.. cause my heart symptoms really suck and when I see my bp is wonky I think the worst..

As far as I understand your situation - in terms of blood pressure - Your pressure will go up and down depending on what you do. For example, if you run upstairs then your blood pressure just HAS to go up, to get you up to the top. That’s what it is for.

If you want to take blood pressure readings then you must sit down quietly for ten minutes beforehand, then take at least three WITHOUT talking, and see how it goes,

This is a forum for blood pressure.

Clearly you have anxiety problems as well. Do you practice controlled breathing?

That is a blood pressure when Im sitting.

I do practice breathing, but no results.

Sounds like you have a core issue around anxiety rather than suffering from essential hypertension as such....although of course BP goes up when we are anxious. Its all part of the bodies natural fight or flight response.

Its easier said than done, particularly at the moment, but please try not to worry about your health and BP too much.

It could also be that you are on the wrong anti anxiety medication. Talk things over with your GP.

But DO make sure you talk to someone more generally about your feelings....your GP, a mental health professional, or if you are enrolled at school/college they will be able to book you in for free and confidential sessions with a trained counsellor.

MIND are also very good. Check out their website or give them a call.

Finally in terms of improved mental health the benefit of exercise and getting out in to nature cannot be overstated.....too the point where for moderate depression/anxiety it is more effective than medication.

All the best! ❤️
