Never heard of it bayram. I have taken most of them including Candesarten, Losarten, Ramipril, Amlodipine etc but the only one that's ever worked for me is Amlodipine - unfortunately I had to stop taking it due to swelling feet, ankles and lower legs. I would be interested to hear how you get on with it. Good luck.

I haven't heard of anybody taking blood pressure test at this time. I think best just once a day when you wake up and before you have anything to eat . In the evening after eating it is going to be higher . Try and relax know you have high blood pressure but don't obsess over it . Good luck james

Our blood pressure vacillates during the day, so was it your GP who suggested a combo drug, especially since your morning blood pressure was fine.?

From drugs.com, Losartan is an ARB. From Google Sevikar HCT , "Sevikar HCT contains three active substances called olmesartan medoxomil, amlodipine (as amlodipine besilate) and hydrochlorothiazide" So, it is a combination of an ARB, a calcium channel blocker and a water pill.

I am assuming you are dropping Losartan. I am not an MD, but I read that it is better to take low doses of different classes of drugs (Combination therapy ) than increase the dosage of a drug you are already taking (monotherapy) because there will be less side effects with combo therapy.

Because you are hitting three classes at a low dose in a single pill, you should be fine and it should be effective because it attacks different mechanisms according to a trial I read. It would take me too long to locate it to post it.

Do let me know how you get along.
