of Coreg. He says that my bp has been boarderline for a while and he thinks it will help with my anxiety disorder. I started the Coreg last February and my numbers have been amazing...right at 120/80 or lower. Prior to the Coreg I was running high 130s/90-95. Since the beginning of the month my numbers have started to creep up again. Most days I am running 130s/85-90. Could this be stress related? I struggle with health anxiety and these numbers make me worry even though they aren’t extremely high. I started Master’s classes at the beginning of the month and I work full time. Should I phone my doc about the numbers creeping up or should I just wait until my appointment in April?
Well, as you might already know , i suffer from severe health anxiety as well, i had this obsession with measuring my bp because i know that it spikes whenever i stress, i made the dreadful decision of measuring it when i had a panic attack and it was about 150/100+ , although i know this is normal , i cant seem to let it go, even when i feel calm sometimes my bp is a bit elevated, and my normal is 100/70 , as it turns out there is something known as subconsious anxiety, so even when you dont feel that stessed there is some tention , im not saying this is your condition ofcourse im just saying a possibility , but maybe you would want to wait a while , maybe use meditation and ways to reduce anxiety even if you dont feel anxious all the time, if it was still elevated more than before contact your doctor, also try to schedule specific times for your bp measurement, for example you have to sit for atleast 3 minutes before a measurement, rest you arm on something comfortably at heart level, and sit still while measuring, take many readings to check, you probably know this already though, i guess what i mean is , try to make sure the result are accurate by correct measuring and consistent times ,just trying to help i wish you all the best and i hope this helps
