Why oh why is your blood pressure such an issue that you CANNOT BE TOLD it - what do they think we're going to do? When I asked thre nurse after she's unplugged that awful machine - she sais 'high'.

I dont understand ...... I always ask and get told ...never a problem.......ask her next time why....... surely its your right ............good luck

I always get told my blood pressure. You are entitled to know the details, you can even ask to look at your medical records I believe. If you don't like to insist (I would definitely) then you could think about getting your own blood pressure monitor. I got one from Amazon which is very accurate, cost about £60.

Yes, I was annoyed by the response of just 'high' and I'm sure it raised the readings another notch or two. I could have kicked myself for not saying anything which possibly goes to show I was indeed reacting to hospital surroundings and being another 'white coat'.

My home moniter is an Omrom wrist one, they are said to be less accurate than the arm cuff ones - but Amazon have a selection. I am now back to my usual 130s so I'm content.
