Taking vitamin K2 with clopidogrel, following a stent

I had a stent fitted last month. Every day I normally take vitamin D3 with vitamin K2.

Would vitamin K2 interfere with the anti-clot action of the clopidogrel that I have been asked to take?

(I take 200mcg of vitamin K2 and 2,000 IU of vitamin D3. My clopidogrel dose is 75mg.)

I only wish I had access to such a pharmacist! My GP is not much usein these matters and has to asksurprisingly basic questions of the consultant, who in turn take a couple of weeks to reply on the "Advice & Guidance" system the hospital has implemented.

I had a stent fitted in LAD that was nearly 100% blocked. At that time I told the cardiologist what supplements I was taking - vit d and k2 being two of them. He was quite happy for me to be taking these. I have researched bit k2 and it actually removes calcium from arteries and deposits it in bone and teeth. However, to put your mind at rest, it is good advice to speak to a pharmacist.

I’ve been taking d3 and k2 for years -had stent fitted following heart attack in January 22 and have no problems. Best to ask pharmacist as we’re all different.
