Hi All

I had a stent fitted 2 years ago, didn’t have HA, but had chest pain, discoverd my right coronary artery needed stenting and have a small blockage at back of heart, which was too small to stent

On all meds, aspirin, clopidogrel, adizem, losarton, rouvastatin and rabeprazol

I’ve been experiencing symptoms of vertigo, sent for brain scan, all ok on scan

Wonder if anyone has experienced these side effects, could it be meds🤷‍♀️ not a nice feeling everyday

dizziness can be many things. Benign positional paroxysmal vertigo (or have I got the two p’s the wrong way round) labyrinthitis, Ménière’s disease….. even stiff cervical vertebrae.

Thank. You

Every little thing is a worry now, before the heart issues, everything was fine😊

I experienced the same side effects plus hair loss. Discuss your medications with your GP. My GP removed one of my medications and it really helped ease the dizziness and vertigo.

Really helps, knowing it’s not all in your head😊

Hi

My husband certainly did not have any issues with vertigo. However he was able to stop the clopidogrel after 1 year. It is trial and error on medications as what works for one may give someone else side effects. Hope you get this sorted.

Hi, I been on Adizem a long time but no side affects its just a calcium channel blocker not sure about the other meds as I dont take them sorry. I do however, get syncope and my head spins like just got off merygoround sometimes esp if I get up too fast. In my case its my heart failure and lack of blood supply to brain. It may be worth GP doing another ECG or Echo ?

Sorry P.S my BP is ok so cant tell if circulation is poor by that, it needs Echo or ECG to determine. I suspect a better place to look for answers would be back to Cardiologist.

Thank you

Think I may have to back to GP, that’s if I can get in and that’s another story😊

In my experience, dizziness (in whichever form) can be caused by many things but medication in particular must always be a strong suspect. Your GP should be able to run some tests and/or try some alternative meds.
