Changing from Atenolol to Adizem XL

Recently my bp has gone up and I have been put on 120mg of Adizem XL and stopped the Atenolol. I've been on the Adizem for four days now and my heart rate used to be around 55-60 and has gone up to 71. My bp readings are 115/76 when lay down but during the day they are 144/84.

Changing beta blocker

I spoke with a different consultant today for a second opinion and he suggested that I could have Vagal AF and has suggested changing from bisoprolol to something like adizem. Has anyone experienced a similar situation. Thanks

Feeling more positive

Does anyone take Adizem and what is the dose and do you take a rhythm drug as well or do the 2 not go together? Any information gratefully received.

Pace and Ablate for Persistent A fib - Your Experiences?

It made my heart 'safe' to come home but not stable enough so the Gp was asked to up the dose of Adizem in a week or so time after discharge.

New AF episode. Shall I take Adizem?

So my main question is what are the pros and cons of my starting with some Adizem for a while in the hope it corrects the AFib and stops my heart from overworking. Though I felt being on Adizem 18 months ago made my heart work hard as I was operating in slow motion like wading through treacle.

Sleep Apnea and af

I have paroximal a f controlled by flexinaide 100 am and pm and Adizem 240 and I've just been prescribed a sleep apnea air box and mask AirFit F20.. once I fiddled with mask to achieve best fit it seems to be effective in helping me get continuous sleep (7 hours).

Adizem XL

Just been prescribed Adizel XL by Cardiologist to see if it works. Any thoughts, advice, experience? Cardiologists is back on a MVA thread after a few months exploring ongoing pain as neurological. Going forward for more MV tests, but the Dorset Cardio team is about to buy the equipment to do it locally

Should I ask my PG for a referral to a cardiologist?

My GP prescribed Adizem-XL; I haven't started taking them as I think I had COVID-19 symptoms and was advised to wait until I feel better before starting the medication. Luckily I am starting to feel better after 2 weeks, but I have been very worried as I also have COPD.

A Cyroablation

I had my cyroablation on Aug 3, at Mayo Jacksonville. Was released that night but had to stay at the hotel on the campus. Dr took me off Cardizem 3 days prior. Told three months for scar tissue to firm and nerve endings to heal. Besides afib I had SVT , uncontrolled crazy heart rate. I have not

Resting Heart Rate in the 50's

I'm a 50 year old woman diagnosed in 2016 with high blood pressure. I was put on Cardizem 120 mg. Lately my resting heart rate has went from the mid 60's to the mid 50's. This very concerning because I don't know what causing the decrease and my cardiologist doesn't seem too concerned. Please help!

Pitting Edema from heart failure?

I saw the infectious disease specialist today for my cellulitis. He said that the pitting edema on both my legs is not from the cellulitis. He said it's either from liver, kidney or heart. Last week my cardiologist changed my heart med from cardizem to verapamil because he thought the edema might be

Leaking legs!

In September I was first diagnosed with Afib and enlarged left atrium. In November I was put on Cardizem, Xarelto and Aldactone. I now have severe pitting edema in both feet and legs. My doctor now suspects liver disease, which I have suspected for years. My concern right now is my 'leaking' legs

BP+ and Medi-Stats

Just collected new meds (Adizem) from pharmacy, who pretty much insisted I have a longer chat about meds and have the test and join the programme. It seems to be more about ‘normal’ people, and not really interested in HA/stents/ongoing angina. More irritating than helpful? Or am I being unfair?

Beta Blocker withdrawal?

6 days ago my Cardiologist stopped my BB (propranolol ER 80mg) due to my BP running in the low 100's/60's and HR in the low 60's. I am in my 30's and was on the med for about 18 months due to elevated BP, anxiety. Cardizem was added about 6 months ago (which I am still taking). I recently lost 35lbs

Thestormy sunshine here, Update on learning about the Heart🧡

So, with all my learning, and still ongoing discoveries about the heart and Lupus,I post this. Our heart is the gatekeeper of all our lives, inhabiting our every moment of life. I now take this much more seriously. Step back on my issues here, I have had symptoms that I thought were only autoimmune
