Brilliant day. Had him standing up and down a few times, before hoisting him into chair. Actually dressed in own clothes. Ventilator on zero and they're going to try him overnight as well. If that's okay, they'll keep it at zero. Sent sputum off to see how long he'll need antibiotics. Physio said he's strong so coming daily instead of every other day. Tomorrow they'll have him standing again plus marching on the spot. Put him back to bed now as physio wore him out, but used the hoist overhead with him pulling up himself. He also helped to dress himself and lifting up legs while they washed him.
Yesterday he was reading his Kindle as well, so that perked him up.
That's OK, you went to the trouble of cooking it, and enjoyed what you were able for, which is a big step forward for you too. Your tummy's taken a recent battering, but it'll recover too, just as your amazing hubby is doing. It's fantastic to read your news here. Onward and upward, both of you 🤩💐🤩
He is starting to really do well now and it always makes so many of us happy I think when we read these positive posts from you
You must have come home feeling so happy and hope that makes you feel like you can eat a nice tea and get some rest yourself
Look forward to hearing what he is doing next and I hope he is still waving to everyone walking past as well as I am waiting now for when that tea trolly comes round and he can have a nice cuppa
Brilliant, doing a happy dance for you both isn’t it good when you start to feel the weight lifting from your shoulders and a sense of normality coming back. Lots of love and strength to you both x
Hi Castleview. I always seem to get notifications a day later than most of the lovely people on this forum. He'll be home before you know it. So happy for you and your family 😊💕.
So nice to hear him doing so good and that the infection has been successfully treated, fingers crossed it's all gone now when results come through. I'm smiling again. For physio to be coming daily is so so promising in how his strength is coming on leaps and bounds too. I am so relieved everything is improving. Please look after you too and keep your strength up as best you can, it's exhausting going back and forth to hospital. Looking forward to hearing the next step 💕x
